"I have always wondered, "Why do I live?" not just on the surface-level, but deeply. "Why?" Since I was like 5. And I've always been amazed that I could never figure out the answer."

Biography

“Never Silent" is an experimental emo-trap producer and artist, transitioning from his former artist name, "1g." He announced his 2025 EP, “Confessions,” to be released throughout the year, the first song, "LOST" already revealed on April 20th. Influenced by emo-rock and melodic rap, Never Silent addresses the resentment, anger, and insecurity of his childhood through his uses of aggressive bass lines, crying synthesizers, and sentimental vocal expressions. It all comes through to create a provokingly vulnerable listening experience.

The overview of the EP showcases several dichotomy-like spectrums of emotion such as aggression and sentiment, bitterness and gratitude, and hate and love. Throughout the mixes, hard-rumbling 808s, sentimental synths, and honest lyrics work together to communicate the chaos and unlikely vitality of Never Silent's life. "Each track is recorded in my bedroom so I can mentally be where I was when I was a teenager, which was in my room most of the time." Each song further showcases the isolation of his experience and the importance of his story.

Never Silent [Adam Gleeson, 26], learned the flute in 6th grade and began using Digital Audio Workstations as early as 15 years old. It began with an innocent curiosity surrounding the sounds he heard in dubstep music, and how he could re-create them. Very quickly, it became a crutch-like outlet as he endured suicidal ideation, sever anger, and depression. Over the next few years, he developed a discography of 13 releases under his High-School artist name, “1g.” At the start of 2025, he rebranded into Never Silent, and hasn't turned back.

He currently pursues his maximum potential at Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, soaking up the diversity and vibrant culture of LA while carefully knitting together the narrative that makes his music fresh. His work is a promise of hyper-realness that pulls us away from judgement and into acceptance, a refreshing contrast to a world full of squinting eyes, paralyzing doubt, and unprecedented isolation.
